Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park is in University Park just south of Chicago.
It was established in 1978 by the Governors State University Board of Trustees.
For more than 30 years, free spirits and wonder seekers have come to see the abstract art.
The contemporary sculptures are mostly by American artists along with a few by French and Mexican sculptors.
Some are even by Illinois natives.
Admission and tours are always free.
Twenty-nine works span more than 100 acres of Illinois prairie, so you can make a whole day of exploring.

The park is open from dawn until dusk every single day of the year.
