This 4-Mile Trail In Hawaii Leads To A Double Waterfall And A Waterfall Swimming Hole

Discover a breathtaking waterfall hike in Molokai, Hawaii, featuring a double-tiered waterfall and a beautiful swimming hole.

There’s no shortage of waterfalls to view if you’re on the Hawaiian islands. But this waterfall trail in Hawaii gets top marks from us! At the end of the trail lies a double waterfall and a gorgeous swimming hole, right smack dab in the middle of some serious Hawaiian beauty. Bring a friend and a lunch, and spend the day at this incredible spot on Molokai.

There’s a stunning waterfall hike on the island of Molokai that is absolutely breathtaking.

This double-tiered waterfall falls a total of 250 feet into the gorgeous swimming hole below. The waterfall is located in the beautiful Halawa Valley, surrounded by rainforest.

The hike is relatively easy, and only four miles out and back.

It’s mostly flat, and you’ll gain only 485 feet in elevation throughout the trail’s entirety. This makes it a good family hike, and open to more beginner skill levels.

You will cross two streams on your way to the waterfall.

Even this part is more fun than difficult. But bring sandals or footwear you don’t mind getting wet.

While many people would want to jump right in to do the hike, there are some steps to take before you set off.

Because the hike crosses over private land, you must get the landowner’s permission, or join a guided tour group that regularly makes the trip.

These steps ensure that the trail is left in good condition.

This is especially important for continued good relations with the private landowners, so visitors can see this incredible waterfall in person.

The end of the trail is a great place to hang out for a while.

Pack a picnic, go for a swim, and enjoy the area rich with Polynesian history. If you take the guided tour, expect to leave at 9 a.m. and return back by 2 p.m.

This is one unbelievable spot that needs to be at the top of your Hawaiian bucket list.

Lush rainforest, beautiful waterfalls, and a great place to swim add up to the perfect day in paradise. This is one stop you’ll want to make on your next trip to Molokai.
