With A Disc Golf Course, Playground, And A Paved Trail, This Georgia Park Is the Ultimate Family Destination

One great thing about the Peach State is that in most areas of the state, we're able to have outdoor fun all year round. The heat may get a little draining (and in some regions, even dangerous), but in general, we're pretty much able to enjoy outdoor recreation at any time of year. We have a ton of amazing state parks in Georgia - throw in all our great National Historic Sites and other landmarks and you've got a virtually endless list of places to visit. However, you'll be making a mistake if you ignore our city parks when making an outdoor bucket list. From splash pads to disc golf courses, we've got all kinds of amenities at municipal parks all over the state. One of our favorite family parks in Georgia is Alexander Park in Lawrenceville, GA. It's got tons to do to entertain the entire family - check it out:

This is a lovely place for a stroll! The scenery is beautiful and it's a great escape from the urban sprawl.

There's a wonderful playground area for the little ones, plus a pavilion and areas with grills.

The park's 91 acres provide plenty of room for exploration. Leashed dogs are allowed, and there's an off-leash dog park available if your dog is friendly.

The lake has several piers and fishing is allowed.

With an 18-hole disc golf course and a horseshoe pit, there's even something for competitive family members.

There's a 1.7-mile paved trail that's accessible for strollers and wheelchairs.

There's also a one-mile unpaved trail for those who prefer more of a woodsy hike.

This is such a beautiful park that's perfect for the entire family.
