Carters Lake is formed by Carters Dam, the tallest earthen dam east of the Mississippi River.

You'll find 62 miles of shoreline here. The lake's average depth is 200 feet, and the surface area of 3,200 acres makes it one of the largest lakes in Georgia.

Carters Lake Marina has both cabins and boat rentals available, and you can find a swimming beach, campgrounds, and trails available through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recreation area.
