Deadly Flash Flooding Predicted In Florida As Tropical Storm Cindy Rages On
Tropical Storm Cindy is causing severe weather, including heavy rain and possible tornadoes, primarily affecting Florida and other Gulf Coast states.
Living in the southern half of our country means that as Floridians we're more than accustomed to dealing with harsh weather. In the latest set of torrential news, Tropical Storm Cindy has turned the Sunshine State into a place that's full of heavy rain and even possible tornadoes. With more intense weather predicted to be on the way, here's what we know about what to expect this week from this current storm.
Hovering over the Gulf of Mexico, storms have led to a Tornado Watch that's currently in effect until 7PM this evening for the western Florida panhandle.
Primarily affecting Pensacola and the surrounding areas, the Florida city has reportedly seen over six inches of rainfall.
Tropical Storm Cindy is currently causing devastation along the coastlines of the Gulf of Mexico. Affecting not only Florida, states like Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama are getting hit with hard weather along the coast.
Over the next several days flooding is predicted to worsen throughout the Sunshine State, with the storm expected to continue moving northwest.
This morning Fort Walton Beach reportedly experienced what many believe to have been a tornado, with the western Florida panhandle predicted to have the biggest potential for devastating floods this evening.
