Florida winters can be quite hit or miss when it comes to predictability. There are some winters where temperatures drop below freezing up north and others where it stays mild and dry. However, the Farmer's Almanac winter 2022 predicts that there may be record-breaking cold temperatures of 40 degrees below zero in some states! We're shivering just thinking about it. So how does that stack up for Florida? What can we expect to see once November rolls around in The Sunshine State? Check out these predictions from the Farmers Almanac winter weather forecast for Florida from 2022 to 2023.

The Old Farmer’s Almanac was established back in 1792 during President George Washington’s first term in order to help predict weather up to 16 months in advance.

Using a "top secret mathematical and astronomical formula," factors such as tidal action, planetary position, and sunspot activity help to predict future weather patterns for different states.

This year, the Farmer’s Almanac is predicting quite the doozy of winter for most of the country, and yet, Florida will not be able to skirt the polar wrath.

According to the Almanac, Florida will experience a colder and rainier winter than normal, with the coldest temperatures coming in early and late January and mid-February. There have even been reports of a wetter winter season in terms of rain for the Sunshine State.

Some parts of the state may be spared the harsh weather, though. For instance, West Central and Southwest Florida will likely have above-normal temperatures!

In both the northern and southern parts of the state, precipitation will be around normal, so it’s time to get out those rain boots and umbrellas!

While we can rejoice that there doesn’t seem to be any surprise snow in our future, Floridians should be prepared for what will be much wetter conditions than what they’ve been used to in the past.

But don’t worry, in true Florida fashion, we’re sure that even throughout the coldest of days, the sun will still be shining bright, and there will be plenty of beach days ahead.
