It's about that time, folks. The Farmers’ Almanac has released their upcoming winter predictions and Floridians can expect a wet and chilly season. What has been dubbed the "Winter of the Great Divide" the country is going to experience quite the difference in Florida winter weather, but here is everything you need to know about your neck of the woods.

Using a time-tested weather formula, every year The Farmers’ Almanac comes out with their weather predictions for winter for regions across the country.

Since the early 1800s when it was first published, people have been using this resource as a way to prepare for upcoming weather patterns.

The Farmers’ Almanac has used tried-and-true mathematical and astronomical formulas to predict weather patterns throughout the country, including tidal action of the moon, sunspot activity, planetary positions, and more.

So, living in Florida, what can you expect from winter this upcoming year?

While there will be buckets of snow and below-normal temperatures in the Midwest, Floridians won’t be as immersed in the cold.

Temperatures in the Southeast U.S. will be chillier than average, so make sure to get the winter coats and sweaters ready!
