There’s A Bakery On Knaus Berry Farm In Florida And You Have To Visit

Knaus Berry Farm in Florida has become a local landmark during its 60 years of operation. It's more famous for its on-site bakery than its crops, selling what some say are the world's best cinnamon rolls.

The Knaus family has owned farmland in the Redland area of South Florida since the 1920s, but Russel Knaus decided to grow strawberries there in 1954.

His wife, Barbara, received compliments for her delicious cookies, and they decided to start a bakery.

Today, folks wait in lines that stretch all the way out to the road to get a taste of a Knaus cinnamon roll.

Knaus Berry Farm is only open to the public during the winter months, typically from late October to mid-April, and that makes it all the more special.

Hurry in! You don't want to miss these tasty treats.

Go ahead and buy a dozen to take home, too, because these are rumored to be the best cinnamon rolls in Florida, if not the entire country.

There are plenty of other baked goods to choose from, including pecan rolls, herb and cheese breadsticks, and a variety of cakes and pies.

During the right season, you can also pick strawberries or tomatoes right off the vine.

You can't get strawberries fresher than ones you pick yourself!

Florida strawberries are grown in the winter, so picking season usually takes place around January through early April, but call ahead to be sure.

You don't have to do the work to enjoy some fresh Florida strawberries. You can buy some already picked and packaged here, too.
