The pathway leads you to some of the most astonishing geological wonders in Connecticut.

About 13,000 years ago, the Wisconsin Glacier moved south, creating this magnificent collection of boulders known as the Ledyard Moraine.

You'll see all kinds of different boulders along your journey -- some giant and some tiny.

Some of them even form small caves, which were inhabited by bears and wolves during the Colonial era.

You may even notice kettleholes inside the rocks.

These small depressions formed when a block of ice broke off from a glacier and was covered in till. When the ice melted, a small hole was left behind.

Take a seat and absorb the mesmerizing beauty.

Though the trail is short, it can get rocky in some places. Be sure to wear secure shoes and bring plenty of water.

If the main blue trail is too strenuous, take the alternate trail located along the perimeter.

This hike is less rocky, but still offers spectacular views of the glacial boulders.
