Indian Well State Park in Connecticut features a stunning natural pool with a fairy tale-like waterfall and scenic hiking trails.

We have a lot of beautiful water in Connecticut. We have seemingly endless miles of shoreline along the Long Island Sound, waterfalls, lakes, rivers. One of the prettiest natural bodies of water in the state is tucked away at Indian Well State Park. This park's namesake natural pool is an absolutely stunning little body of water complete with a storybook waterfall that looks straight out of a fairy tale!

Indian Well State Park spans 153 acres along the banks of Lake Housatonic. It's not quite as popular as some of the other state parks in Connecticut, but it's one of the prettiest places in the Nutmeg State.

The park's crowning jewel is a brilliantly clear little brook with a 15-foot plunge waterfall.

The little pool is tucked away within a gorge that makes it feel like you've entered a fairy tale.

Swimming is strictly prohibited at Indian Well, but it's an idyllic spot to have a picnic or cozy up with a book. There's nothing like relaxing with the sound of a babbling brook beside you!

This is such a peaceful state park in Connecticut that doesn't get nearly the attention it deserves.

There are several great trails throughout the park with lots of kid-friendly hikes that won't take you all day.

The park's expansive shoreline means you can get gorgeous water views just about anywhere within the park's borders.
