With Its Waterfront Cityscape Views, You’ll Love Riverside Park’s Riverview Trail In Connecticut

We love a good hike through secluded woods. When you're out in the middle of nowhere, it can almost feel like nature is injecting endorphins right into your bloodstream. There's something so freeing about the tranquility that surrounds you, and it almost makes you feel like you're the only person around. For those of us that live in the city, it's not always possible to get fully immersed into nature like that. However, that doesn't mean you can't enjoy a good city hike! One of our favorite trails in Hartford is the Riverview Trail at Riverside Park. Sure, it may not have woods and a babbling brook, but it does have amazing waterfront views and provides a touch of nature without even leaving the city. Check out our pick for the best trail in Hartford, CT below:

Riverside Park is a park just north of downtown Hartford. It boasts miles of trails, plus a boat launch, picnic tables, volleyball court, playground, and more.

This is a charming park with a surprising amount of natural touches.

I love that you can enjoy views of the bustling city...

...But also feel immersed in nature.

Nearly the entirety of the 5.4-mile loop trail follows along the Connecticut River.

Despite the trail's length, it's relatively flat throughout and is considered to be easy, with most experienced hikers taking about an hour and a half to complete the distance.

This is one of the best trails in Hartford, CT, and a great place to connect with nature while enjoying beautiful city views!
