Do you know the name of the largest state park in Colorado? I am sad to say that I didn't, but I will never forget again, as this ginormous oasis is full of things to see and do! If you are ready for a multi-day adventure, it is time to pack your bags and visit Colorado's impressive State Forest State Park:

Located near Walden, State Forest State Park is a sprawling 71,000-acre outdoor wonderland that houses everything you love about Colorado.

Nestled between the Medicine Bow Mountains and the Never Summer Range, State Forest is your year-round, outdoor go-to, thanks, in part, to its miles of hiking and biking trails, lakes for fishing, and world-class hunting opportunities.

When the weather is warm and sunny, take the boat out on the North Michigan Reservoir, camp under the summer stars, or drive around on an ATV!

Is it the most wonderful time of the year? Excellent, as State Forest State Park is the most wonderful place to ski, snowboard, and/or snowshoe.

Fun fact: State Forest State Park is billed as the "moose viewing capital of Colorado," so keep your eyes peeled for these and other incredible animals!
