This New Boardwalk Trail In Rocky Mountain National Park Makes A Day Outside More Accessible To Everyone

Rocky Mountain National Park is fantastic! In my opinion, it's one of the very best national parks in the entire country, and I'm not just saying that because I live in Colorado - it truly is spectacular in so many ways. Just this month, it got a little better and more accessible for everyone thanks to the completion of the renovation of the boardwalk trail around Sprague Lake. There was an existing boardwalk trail around this iconic lake, but it was run down and falling apart for decades. Work on the new boardwalk began this summer and was completed this fall. Everyone loves Rocky Mountain National Park. It's gorgeous, and it's a great place to hike in the Rockies.

However, not all the trails in the park are accessible to everyone. Many of them are quite rugged and are rated difficult. The high elevation of many of them adds an additional challenge.

However, the completion of the new boardwalk trail around Sprague Lake makes viewing this breathtaking lake from all angles easier for everyone.
