While most roadside markets carry just fruit and vegetables, you'll find much more on the streets of our incredible city. Bakery goods, hot items, and even homemade hair and beauty products can be found at these street shops.

1. Green City Market
On the south side of Lincoln Park at 1817 N. Clark Street, you'll find one of Chicago's top farmers markets. Open almost year-round, it runs from May through October from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It is open November through April at the Peggy Notebaert Museum from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturdays only.
2. Logan Square Farmers Market
This is a year-round market you can access every Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. From May through October, it is operated outdoors and takes place around 3107 W Logan Boulevard. It is moved indoors from November through March at 2755 N. Milwaukee Avenue.
3. 61st Street Farmers Market
You can find this popular market on 61st St. between Dorchester and Blackstone during the outdoor months, which extend through most of October. In November and December, it gets taken indoors and is located at the Experimental Station at 6100 S Blackstone Avenue. It takes place every Saturday from mid-May through mid-December and lasts from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
4. 95th Street Farmers Market
Beginning in May, this incredible market runs through October 29, 2017 and is located at 1835 W. 95th Street on the southeast corner of 95th Street and Longwood Drive in Beverly. It starts at 7:00 a.m. and ends around 1:00 p.m. each Sunday and features live entertainment each week.
5. Daley Plaza Chicago Farmers Market
This is one of Chicago's most loved farmers markets. Daley Plaza is located at 50 W. Washington Street, and you can find the market here from May through October. It is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. It opens at the same time on weekends, but closes at 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays and 1:00 p.m. on Sundays.
6. Eden Place Farmers Market
From the end of May through mid-October, local stands open shop on 43rd Street and Wells on Saturdays. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at this diverse fresh market.
7. Andersonville Farmers Market
Locals frequent N. Clark Street and W. Berwyn Avenue for this diverse street market. It takes place every Wednesday, and in 2017, runs May 10 through August 30 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. as well as September 6 through October 18 but ends at 7:00 p.m.
8. Low-Line Market
This quaint, but popular local market is located at 3410 N. Southport Avenue, which is underneath the Southport Brown Line CTA station. It runs June through October on Thursdays from 3:00 to 7:30 p.m.
9. South Shore Farmers Market
Directly across from Lake Michigan in the South Shore Park neighborhood in Bay View, this market features a schedule of weekly performances. It happens this year from June 17 through October 14 from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
10. Ravenswood Farmers Market
Featuring a large array of diverse products, this popular market is located at 4900 N. Damen Avenue. It runs June through October each year and is available on Wednesdays from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
11. Hyde Park Farmers Market
Everything from flowers to organic vegetables are available at this wonderful street shop. It is located at 5235 S. Harper Court Avenue and is open each Thursday from July through October. Hours are 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
12. McKinley Park Farmers Market
From June 4 through September 24, 2017, this market is available each Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It is located at the northwest corner of the park near the President McKinley Statue on the corners of Archer Avenue/Western Boulevard and Archer Avenue/37th Street.
13. IMAN Fresh Beats & Eats Farmers Market
Every Friday in October, this market sets up to sell organic goods of all kinds on West 63rd Street from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Support the Inner-City Muslim Action Network while buying the freshest produce in town.
14. Portage Park Farmers Market
Those living in and near this neighborhood visit the intersection at Long and Irving Park Road for an amazing outdoor produce sale on various Sundays in the summer. It runs June through October and is open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
15. South Loop Farmers Market
Locals love to support their favorite small businesses each Thursday during the summer at 1936 S. Michigan Avenue. The market runs on Thursdays beginning in June and finishing up September 28, 2017.
16. Horner Park Farmers Market
You can get all the fresh goods your heart desires at 2741 W. Montrose Avenue on Saturdays from June 3 to October 14, 2017. The market is open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and features a wide range of seasonal produce.
17. SOAR Farmers Market
Located in the Streeterville neighborhood in downtown Chicago at 220 E. Chicago Avenue, this busy market is a must-visit. It is open every Tuesday in 2017 from June 6 through October 31 from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
18. Loyola Farmers Market
Beginning in June, this market takes place every Monday afternoon in the summer from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. From the end of September through mid-October, it takes place 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. and is located at the southwest corner of Albion and Sheridan.
19. Wicker Park Farmers Market
Easily accessible by bus or train, you'll find this oasis of fresh produce at 1425 N. Damen Avenue every Sunday during the summer. It lasts June 4 through October 29, 2017 and hours are 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 pm.
20. Independence Park Farmers Market
You can catch this market in Irving Park at 3945 N. Springfield Avenue. It takes place from 9:00 a.m. to noon every other Sunday from June through October.
