The Gertrude Ord Trail is located in Marin County, near the towns of Ross and San Anselmo.

The highlight here is traversing around beautiful Phoenix Lake. It is one of the prettiest lakes in the area and a popular spot year-round.

The trail meanders for approximately 4.5 miles in a loop, offering dramatic views like this one all along the way.

Because of the climate in this part of the state, you’ll see scores of trees lining the trail and the lake.

Because the trail is relatively short, it’s great for a group of people of different hiking abilities.
