Travel To Niagara Falls State Park Near Buffalo For Mesmerizing Nightly Waterfall Fireworks

Niagara Falls State Park offers a mesmerizing nighttime experience with illuminated waterfalls and fireworks displays.

As residents of the city of Buffalo, we are less than a half-hour south of one of the country's most jaw-dropping natural wonders. It's probably it's safe to say you've visited Niagara Falls State Park and perhaps even the Canadian half of this waterfall, but if you're looking to truly say that you've explored all of Western New York's most epic attractions, you'll want to be sure that you also visit the American Falls at night.

Dating all the way back to 1885, Niagara Falls State Park is the oldest state park in America and is only a short drive from the heart of Buffalo.

Open 24 hours a day, you'll find that the falls of the state park transform into a colorful view unlike any other once the sun sets here in Western New York.

Exciting as the illumination of the falls may be, there's nothing quite like seeing the falls lit up as a mesmerizing fireworks display goes on overhead.

Each night from January 1-5 and again from January 10-12, you can see fireworks over Niagara Falls.

The display will begin each night at 9 p.m., giving you plenty of time to make the drive up here.

The already magical falls become even more enchanting in the wintertime when they begin to freeze up and are surrounded by sparkling snow.
