The Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge In Arkansas Is Offering Free Livestreams Of Big Cats, Bears, And More
Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is livestreaming their big cat residents to connect with animal lovers during the quarantine.
As a way to connect with fellow Arkansas animal lovers, Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is livestreaming their big cat residents. We may be stuck inside but that doesn't mean we can't creatively visit our wild friends over at the refuge!
Things at Turpentine have been rather quiet the past few weeks.
Like the rest of the world, Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is having to stay closed to the public. Since curbside or delivery would be rather impractical, the Turpentine care staff have found a better way to bring these big cats to your home - via livestream!
These livestreams give you an up-close opportunity to see the animals' daily routines.
The videos have been broken up into a miniseries tour of the entire sanctuary as well as individual keeper talks about specific residents.
Big cats aren't the only residents to meet at the refuge either!
Although Turpentine is known for their lions and tigers, they have other creatures to meet as well. Bears, primates, coatimundi, and other wild cats are also found around the sanctuary.
Although these videos are perfectly educational for learning minds, they're also have their silly moments.
Who doesn't love seeing a 100-pound cat chase a ball or play with cardboard? In addition to the daily workings of the sanctuary, animal enrichment is shown as well.
We're looking forward to seeing all the animals in person after the quarantine is lifted but this is a great way to say in touch until then!
