Not Many People Know About This Breathtaking Arkansas Bluff
Discover the scenic beauty of Strawberry Bluff in Clarksville, Arkansas, a lesser-known hiking spot with stunning views and a cool cave.
Arkansas has so many wonderful scenic overviews. The options certainly don't stop after Hawksbill Crag, nor with Mount Magazine. In fact, you can even take a mini-island getaway to reach another vantage point. Really the only downside to these particular places is that most people already know about them. If you're wanting to avoid the dense crowds but would still like to enjoy the warming weather, we have a place for you. This refreshing view can be found in Clarksville. Let's take a drive together and hike to the elusive Strawberry Bluff.
The drive isn't too difficult but does involve dirt roads.
But don't all the best places in Arkansas involve a backroad or two? From Hwy. 21 take Hwy. 292 for 3.7 miles. On your left will be County Road 3631, take that for 4 miles. Another left onto County Road 4631 will take you uphill, follow that for a mile. The trail to the bluff will be on the right side of the road.
The trail is well defined but doesn't have any signage.
You shouldn't get lost though, it's a pleasantly short distance from the road to the bluff.
See? We've already made it to the top.
Besides the amazing bluff, there's also a cave below that's pretty darn cool.
Once you're at the bluff you'll see a trail that leads down to it.
On clear days you can see as far as Russellville.
There's plenty of trees that are just perfect for pitching a hammock.
Strawberry Bluff is just one more spot to take in Arkansas' scenic beauty.
