If you love a good adventure, Arizona has no shortage of opportunities to get your adrenaline pumping. Sunrise Park Resort, best known for its second-to-none ski slopes in the winter, also boasts an epic zipline during the warmer months. As the longest zipline in the state, it takes you on a thrilling descent down the side of a mountain and through a beautiful forested landscape.
An iconic destination for skiing, snowboarding, and other winter sports, Sunrise Park Resort is just as fun in the summertime.
Unbeknownst to many, the resort is actually open during the warmer months as well, featuring a whole host of attractions for the whole family to enjoy.
One of the most popular summer activities is the zipline course that runs down one of the mountains at the resort.
It consists of seven separate zips, the longest two of which span 2,300 feet, making it the longest zipline in Arizona!
You'll soar through the air, going from peak to base in a matter of seconds.
Please note: the weight requirement for ziplining is between 70 and 230 pounds.
The fun in the summer sun doesn't stop with ziplining, either.
The only lift-served downhill mountain biking in the state can also be found here, with 13 trails ranging in difficulty from beginner to expert.
Even if you aren't into biking, you can still experience sweeping panoramic views with a ride on the scenic chairlift.
There's no height requirement, so all ages can enjoy meandering through the lush wooded landscape.
Kids (and kids at heart) love the rock climbing wall, and thrill-seekers can't get enough of the airbag jump (like from stunt scenes in movies).
The exact opening date for this summer has yet to be announced, so keep up with the Sunrise Park Resort website or Facebook page for all the latest information.
