SARA Park in Lake Havasu City is a nature lover's dream, with hike and bike trails, direct lake access, and plenty of wide-open space to relax and enjoy the great outdoors.
Spanning 1,100 acres, SARA Park is the largest regional park in Lake Havasu City.
You'll find it on Dub Campbell Parkway, and hours are dawn until 11 p.m. daily. Admission is free of charge.
The park boasts direct access to Lake Havasu, so it's popular amongst those who enjoy water recreation.
Whether you're looking to find your sea legs or just admire the views, this place is a nature lover's dream.
A variety of hiking trails wind through the mountainous landscape, one of which features a slot canyon that more agile folks can actually rappel down into.
You might work up a sweat, but the effort will be worth its weight in gold when you come out face to face with the deep blue lake waters.
You'll hike about 2.5 miles before reaching the lake, so be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks to fuel the journey.
Before heading back, take a few minutes to admire the stillness of the lake. If you weren't at peace already, you sure will be!
Picnic tables nestled in the mountaintops are idyllic for enjoying a sack lunch, with gorgeous, 360-degree views that seem to extend for miles in all directions.

Other park activities include mountain bike trails, a two-acre dog park with separate areas for large and small dogs, BMX and Motocross tracks, baseball and softball fields, a shooting and archery range, and so much more.
