Off The Beaten Path In Grand Canyon National Park, You’ll Find A Breathtaking Arizona Overlook That Lets You See For Miles

Even the Grand Canyon, one of the most heavily trafficked national parks in the country, has its fair share of hidden gems. Most of them are on the North Rim, which sees much fewer crowds than its southern counterpart. Bright Angel Point is a scenic overlook in Arizona that offers some of the best views in the entire state, and many people don't even know it exists.

Tucked away in Arizona's most iconic national park, Bright Angel Point Trail is something of a hidden gem. This quick and easy stroll leads to a breathtaking overlook that gets far less attention than it deserves.

Less than a mile long, this trail only takes about 30 minutes out and back. With an elevation gain of under 150 feet, it's suitable for most ages and skill levels.

Despite the short distance, you'll encounter a plethora of unique natural scenery along the way. This little rock tunnel is a perfect photo opportunity!

Although the trail isn't hard, it can nevertheless be a bit scary for those afraid of heights. The lookout point is on a narrow bridge dangling over the canyon's edge – 8,000 feet high, we might add – and it promises to get your heart pounding (in a totally exhilarating way).

You'll encounter a far less dense crowd than at the South Rim, so enjoy the relative solitude. Plus, since the hike to get here is so brief, you'll have ample time to revel in the views and take plenty of pictures!

Dawn and dusk are undoubtedly the best times to visit. As the sun clears the horizon, a rainbow of colors streak across the sky as if to paint the most beautiful picture imaginable.
