Pioneer Park, previously known as Alaskaland, is a 44-acre historical park in Alaska. The name changed in 2001 to reflect the focus on Alaska's history. It's incredibly family-friendly, with a giant playground in the park.
There aren't many parks that can boast a carousel, a historical sternwheeler, a miniature golf course, and even historic log cabins! This incredible park has it all. There's no admission fee to enter the park, and the park is open daily all year long, which means this is a fun, cost-effective activity that has something for everyone!
There's also an operational narrow gauge train.
There are museums, art galleries, mining artifacts, and more. If you love Alaskan history, this is a must-see if you're in Fairbanks.
The summer time has no shortage of fun events, including free daily Gazebo Nights.

The park is open year-round, but the Salmon Bake, restaurants, and food trucks are only open for the summer season.
During the summer season, Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, the park is open from 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm. The winter season hours are daily from 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm. There is plenty of time to get out and see all of the fun attractions.
