There’s an easy trail right outside of Juneau that you have to do.

An easy loop hike, it takes you through the Tongass National Forest before paralleling the coastline. It offers tons of stunning views as you stroll along.

The trail is 1.1 miles long and easy to complete for all skill levels.

The first half mile of the trail is ADA Wheelchair accessible. And the elevation gain throughout the trail is only 147 feet total, making it an easier option.

The average hiker can complete the trail in about 28 minutes.

It’s a great way to learn more about the area, without tiring yourself out. It makes for a good morning or afternoon hike.

There are gorgeous boardwalks that wind through the rainforest.

The trail is well-marked and well-maintained. If you do head in after a heavy rainfall, be sure to wear your Xtra Tufs or other rain boots to keep dry.

You might see Sitka deer, bald eagles, and perhaps even a whale or two in the distance! It’s worth staying sharp and continuing to look closely at the landscape around you.
