Here in Alabama, we're known for having some of the most beautiful lakes in the nation. One of these lakes is Lake Martin, which is also one of the country's largest man-made lakes. Lake Martin is home to many wonderful landmarks, including islands. One of these islands in particular is Pineywood Island, which isn't really well known unless you're a local. It's located near the Elkahatchee Boat Ramp and includes a beach with chairs, tables, and more.
