Jackson Lake Island is a private island that's situated on the Alabama River just outside of Millbrook, Alabama. It's open every day from sunrise until sunset.

The cost to visit the island for the entire day is $5.00 per person over the age of 10. The cost for children 10 years and under is $3.00, and for children 2 years and under, admission is free.

This small island is best known as the home to the "Town of Spectre" movie set from "Big Fish," Tim Burton's award-winning film.

Something else Jackson Lake Island is well known for is its large herd of goats.

Dozens of goats roam freely on the island. Visitors of the island are also welcome to feed and pet them.

Primitive camping is available for $15.00 per person per night. The cost for children 10 years and under is $5.00 per night, and for children 2 years and under, there's no fee. Reservations aren't needed for primitive camping. However, all campers must set their tents up before dark. A few RV sites with hookups are also available.
