Situated off Alabama Highway 227, this out-and-back trail has a distance of 4.4 miles.
The Cutchenmine Trail follows an old coal mine road along Short Creek. Even though there are a few minor inclines along the way, this trail, which has an easy level of difficulty, is a great hiking destination for the entire family.
While exploring the Cutchenmine Trail, you'll encounter many beautiful pieces of nature, including colorful wildflowers.
You'll also come across some pretty unusual rock formations, including this one where a tree has grown into it.
