Many beautiful mountains are located throughout Alabama, offering incredible scenic views. Of all the mountains across this great state, one stands much higher than the rest---literally. This mountain is Mount Cheaha, also known as Mt. Cheaha and Cheaha Mountain.

Cheaha Mountain Scenic Byway

At 2,407 feet above sea level, Mount Cheaha, the center point of Cheaha State Park (Delta), is the highest natural point in Alabama. This incredible mountain, known for its beautiful scenery and recreational opportunities, is located within the Talladega Mountains and was opened to the public in 1939.
