The tiki tour leaves from the Flora Bama Marina. We boarded the 40-foot vessel that was decorated just as you expected, tropical décor! We instantly noticed the bathroom on board, the hammocks swinging in the warm breeze, and an incredible bar!

Captain Glenn was so welcoming and offered water and ice almost immediately. He introduced himself and told us his story of how he came into being the captain of the vessel. We pushed off from the marina and off we went into the Old River.

From the Old River, Ono Island, is clearly seen. Ono Island is the vacation home to many movie stars, CEOs, and professional athletes. We cruised by the island while Captain Glenn pointed out such homes and others of notability. From the Old River, the tiki tour took us into Bayou Saint John and the stunning islands that dot the waterway. Bird, Walker, and Robinson Islands are all very popular during the summer for boaters. This is usually the spot where Captain Glenn will pull close to the sand bar and let his guests play in the crystal-clear waters or even picnic on the beach.

Bird Island is known for its sanctuary for several migrating birds. But birds are not the only animal you will see on your Tiki Tour. We had the pleasure of watching dolphins jump around the boat and it felt surreal seeing them so close. Always have your camera or phone ready on the water!

If you want to bring lunch or drinks on board for your time on the water, you can absolutely do that, too! There is plenty of room at the bar to have lunch or enjoy it with your toes in the water on one of the nearby islands!

Captain Glenn offers several different tours. You can take the two-hour tour, which is what we did. You can soak it all in the most relaxing setting ever. But, no more than six passengers at a time. The four-hour allows you to visit the island and stop at one of the many bars on the water. The private tour lets you dictate the adventure you want to have!
