Michelle's life is a colorful map of exploration and adventure. From the iconic streets of New York to the sunny shores of Florida, the jagged coast of Maine to the rugged terrain of Montana, she's been fortunate to call some of America's most beautiful states home. Beyond the U.S., Michelle's wanderlust has taken her on a motorcycle journey through India, led her to teach English in Hanoi, and saw her studying Spanish in Guatemala. Michelle graduated with a communications degree from the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and in addition to a career in advertising has worked with OnlyInYourState since 2016, where her love for travel and storytelling converges. Alongside writing and exploring, Michelle finds joy in photography, staying active, and time with her family.

There are so many things we have pride in. Our ancestry, the things we’ve overcome, and our successes. But, without a doubt, I always find myself most proud of where I come from. Luckily, I have the privilege of calling a variety of places home. After all, home truly is where you feel you belong most. That might be with friends, your childhood home, or where you fell in love. It’s fair to say you have roots in any place that feels most comfortable for you. And, for those with roots in Montana who are proud of everything that comes along with that, be sure to check out the Wear Your Roots brand.
Anyone with roots in Montana can agree that there’s simply nothing like the feeling of being able to say this is your home. While this list certainly only scratches the surface of what there is to love about life here, it’s a great way to remember just how lucky you are to call this state home.
