Watch Summer Fade To Fall At Frenchtown Pond State Park In Montana
As much as we love summers in Montana, there’s something about the early autumn air that makes us especially thankful to live in the Treasure State (realistically, it’s probably the knowledge that the cold and snow are coming, so we need to enjoy the outdoors while we can). While there are plenty of places to peep the early fall colors in our beautiful state, we’re especially fond of Frenchtown Pond State Park. Check it out in mid-late September and you’ll see exactly what we mean.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

Frenchtown Pond State Park is located on Frenchtown Frontage Road, and it's one of the area's main attractions.

With a maximum depth of 18 feet, it's not a large body of water by any stretch of the imagination. But it's beautiful nonetheless, and it's a great spot for bass and sunfish fishing.

As the green grass fades and the leaves begin to change colors, the park becomes even more vibrant.

There are also fun and educational programs here in the summertime. While they are on hold for the 2020 season, they'll be back next year.

You'll also want to leave your pets at home for this particular adventure.

This place will make you appreciate Montana life all over again.
