When a restaurant has stood the test of time, you know they've done something right. The Majestic Restaurant in Kansas City is one of those places and its historic building has been in existence for over a century.
The Majestic Restaurant is located in Kansas City's Quality Hill neighborhood and has a very unique history.
The restaurant is housed inside the old Fitzpatrick Building which was originally built in 1911 as a saloon and bordello. During the Prohibition, the basement was used as a speakeasy for many of Kansas City’s business and political leaders.
In the 1980's, the building was renovated and then listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Though it was renovated, the exterior and interior of the building still display much of the design from its earlier days.
The menu features an impressive selection of steaks.
The Porter House, Aged Ribeye and Bone Steak are just a few of the delicious steaks available. And of course, all are cooked to your preference.
Don't forget to leave room for some dessert.
This delectable chocolate mouse cake is drizzled with caramel and sprinkled with sea salt to add that irresistible salty caramel taste.
Great food AND live jazz? Sounds like a perfect night to me.
The speakeasy-style jazz club features live music almost every night.
Their full-service bar boasts some of the craftiest cocktails.
Peruse the beer menu for local drafts, or request a unique cocktail mixed with the finest of top shelf liquors.

You'll come for the steaks, but you'll want to stay for the amazing live music in this cool historic building.
