The Story Behind Kansas City’s Most Haunted House Will Give You Nightmares
Kansas City doesn’t seem to have a lot of specific buildings that are haunted. At least, not in a way that attracts much attention these days. However, this hotel right here in town has a story attached that might give you nightmares. It might just be the most haunted building in the city.

It closed in 2016, putting an end to that title, but it set to reopen sometime in 2018.

It does look dated these days however, which helps when you have haunting stories like these about the building.

Room 505 is the most notorious, with plenty to say about what goes on in that particular room. One man that stayed here reported that the water wouldn't stop turning on in his bathroom, no matter how many times he turned it off. Some time later, the manager walked past the apartment and heard Jazz music playing from within the empty room.

It wasn't coming from his clock radio, but a different radio sitting on his washing machine. The radio was always set to rock 'n' roll, and had somehow been changed to a different station and flipped on while he was away at work. It couldn't have been changed by anyone else, as he was carrying the only key to the apartment with him.

One resident always kept the dividing door between the bedroom and living room firmly closed while he slept. At night, around 11:30 PM, the door opened, but no one was around to push the heavy door. Years have passed since those incidents, and people who have recently investigated the apartment for further activity found nothing as creepy as before. Theories of the ghost haven't been able to locate who it might be, either, but they did find a sealed gun in the wall, and heard plenty of odd footsteps in the night.

You won't catch me near this place until I've heard an all-clear, that's for sure!
