You really will feel as though you've been whisked to the capital city of the United Kingdom. That shouldn't come as a surprise, though, as the tea room is "run by homesick Brits."
There is not a parking lot at The London Tea Room. However, you will find metered parking near the tea room and numerous parking lots within walking distance.
Choose between two types of prix fixe menus - Afternoon Tea and High Tea. Afternoon Tea is the top tier and includes a pot of tea, three savory foods, a scone with clotted cream and jam, and four desserts.
If you're bringing the kiddos along for Afternoon Tea, they can indulge in the Wee Tea, a kid-sized version of the traditional Afternoon Tea. Kids can drink tea or, if they prefer, choose hot chocolate instead.
The High Tea promises to fill you up, too, and features five savory foods, a scone, and a pot of tea.
You can also add on to what's included in your tea. Several types of cake - blueberry lemon and rock cake, for example - are available in addition to sweet, savory, and mini scones.
Even if you don't have much time, you can drop by on weekdays for the popular Cream Tea. Sit back and relax as you sip tea and nibble on a scone topped with jam and clotted cream.
Reservations are strongly encouraged, especially if you want to stop by on the weekend. Chances are you won't snag a seat if you drop-in on the weekend.
