The Amazing Campground Beach Every Missourian Will Want To Visit
A day at the beach just might be the ultimate summertime activity. After all, we can spend the whole day lying on the sandy shore; wading in the cool water, or just watching the clouds float by. The only thing that might be better is a getaway at this campground beach in Missouri. An idyllic summer destination, it might be the most unique campground in Missouri.
With a quarter-mile sandy beach on the Elk River, Shady Beach Campground in Noel beckons visitors with its unique location and full menu of water activities.
Billed as one of the oldest campgrounds in Southwest Missouri, this beachfront destination offers several ways to stay. For a classic camping adventure, pitch your tent, or park your RV.
Both tent and RV sites all sit within 200 yards of the Elk River. That means you can wake up in the morning, and slip straight into the cool water for a swim or for a float.
Shady Beach Campground also offers beachfront cabins with electricity. However, you’ll have to walk about 100 yards to the shared bathroom facilities. (Campers are allowed to bring their own portable toilets, too.)
Chances are you’ll spend a whole lot of time outdoors during your camping adventure. Floating is particularly popular, and you’ll find everything you need right at the campground.
