This Ultimate Burger Bucket List In Missouri Will Make Your Mouth Water
Pasta and salads are great and all, but there’s nothing like indulging in a mouthwatering burger for lunch or dinner. Here are some of our favorites in Missouri that you should definitely check out!
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:
1. Gordon's Stoplight Drive-In
What separates this burger joint from most is how they cook their patties. To create the “smashed” style patties, the meat is smashed on the grill while it cooks to make the ends nice and crispy.
500 Bailey Rd.
Crystal City, MO 63019
2. Dana's BBQ & Burger Shop
To get both the BBQ and the burger experience, go for the Danna Burger which serves BBQ slathered chopped pork on top of the patty.
963 St. Hwy 165
Branson, MO 65616
3. Westport Flea Market
Rated by the Food Network as the best burger in Kansas City. To win a free meal, shirt and bragging rights, try out their burger challenge. 50 ounces of beef, 10 bacon strips and 6 buns. Think you can handle it?
817 Westport Rd.
Kansas City, MO 64111
4. Kirby's Sandwich Shop
Simplicity can be a beautiful thing and the double patty melts at Kirby's are a testament of that. They've been up and running in Sikeston since 1907, so we'd say their method has been working quite nicely.
109 N Kingshighway St.
Sikeston, MO 63801
5. Black Sheep Burgers & Shakes
This burger joint has a wide array of options ranging from a quinoa burger to a beef and brisket burger with candied bacon. Wash it down with one of their boozy shakes to get the full experience.
209 E Walnut St.
Springfield, MO 65806
6. Booches Billiard Hall
Opened as a pool hall and restaurant in 1884, Booches has become an integral part of Columbia's history. Their burgers served on wax paper run a bit small, so you may want to add an extra one to your order.
110 S 9th St.
Columbia, MO 65201
7. Eagle Drive-In
Head over to Eagle Drive-In for the juiciest and most delicious burgers in all of Joplin, Missouri. The exterior may make it appear to be a simple burger joint, but Jason Miller's bistro burgers are anything but simple.
4224 Hearnes Blvd.
Joplin, MO 64804
If you're not sold on any of the menu burgers, Stacked gives you the option to build your own. The size of the patties are pretty huge, so be sure to come hungry.
7637 Ivory Ave.
St. Louis, MO 63111
9. Bluff Burger & Brew
Bluff Burger & Brew offers both traditional and non-traditional burger options. The classic hamburger is a safe bet, but if you're looking to try something a little different, we definitely recommend the Sticky Asian Burger
4806 West Blvd.
Poplar Bluff, MO 63901
10. Beer Kitchen
Don't let the name fool you, this kitchen serves up more than just craft beers. To experience authentic Kansas City BBQ, try the Smokestack Burger. Smoked burnt ends, gouda, whisky bbq glaze and chipotle aioli all on top of your patty...need I say more?
435 Westport Rd.
Kansas City, MO 64111
