Being an adult is hard! Lucky for you, we’ve found the perfect escape – Downunder. No, we’re not talking about Australia. We’re talking about an underground restaurant that, between its international fare and retro setting, is bound to be like no other place you’ve ever eaten.

Downunder is hidden in a basement, just off Tupelo's Main Street. (Keep an eye out for the kangaroo!)

Open to adults 21 and over, it serves up “international pub grub with a unique flair.”

That unique flair no doubt refers to the setting.

Dimly lit and filled with lounge furniture, it looks like a speakeasy from decades ago.

It also feels a bit like a retro arcade, thanks to a small collection of video games, a pinball machine, and dart board.

No matter how you describe the setting, though, there’s one thing that can’t be argued – the food is unique and tasty.

Bringing a taste of the "Land Down Under" to the South, the menu features an array of Australian-inspired dishes.

It's not just international cuisine, though.

The menu features lots of classic dishes, too.

And just like the food menu, the drink menu boasts a mix of Australian-inspired drinks and well-known favorites.
