People Drive From All Over For The Biscuits At This Charming Mississippi Restaurant

Biscuits are serious business here in the Magnolia State. You can find the fluffy concoctions at just about every gas station and most restaurants. And while you probably already have a go-to biscuit place, we found one that needs to be on your radar. Not your grandma’s biscuits, the biscuits at this small town gem feature a tasty twist that's sure to delight your sweet tooth. Take a look:

This is George’s Restaurant in New Albany. It’s only been at its current location since 2006, but has actually been in business since the 1980s.

Over the years, the restaurant has become known for its perfectly fried chicken and made-to-order burgers, which are served "hot, fresh, and almost sloppy." But those aren’t George’s only specialties.

The biscuits are another specialty and customer favorite – and for good reason.

In a league of their own, the one-of-a-kind biscuits come topped with vanilla ice cream and strawberries. More like a dessert, the sweet creation is very similar to strawberry shortcake.

Aside from the incredible taste, it’s the portion size that’s sure to impress. One order is enough for two – although, you’ll probably want it all for yourself.

Serving up southern classics along with some of the state’s most unique biscuits, it’s easy to why George’s Restaurant has become a New Albany staple.
