One Of Mississippi’s Oldest Eateries, Jim’s Cafe Has Been Cookin’ Up Great Food Since 1909

The Magnolia State is full of great historic sites – and Jim’s Café is one of them. Dating back over a century, it takes the title of the oldest diner in Washington County. But it’s not just the oldest. It also has a reputation for being one of the best, which isn’t surprising since the café has had over 100 years to perfect its tasty fare. Take a look:

Jim’s Café has been a staple on Greenville’s Washington Avenue since 1909.

The Delta is known for cotton, blues, and…its delicious food, so the café’s location in Greenville, which is commonly referred to as “the heart and soul of the Delta,” makes total sense.

Step inside, and you’ll quickly notice that Jim’s serves up heaping helpings of history along with great grub.

The walls are plastered with photos of the famous diners it’s hosted throughout the years. There are also lots of historic pictures, depicting the area’s history.

Of course, you’ll be treated to more than a history lesson at Jim’s. You’ll also be treated to a home-cooked meal that’s sure to leave you happy and full.

The menu is filled with delicious dishes, including all-day breakfast.

Aside from breakfast classics, the menu boasts a variety of sandwiches and blue plate specials.

Burgers are part of the fare, too. Can’t decide what to get? Consider the chili slaw burger or Philly cheese steak – both of which are customer favorites.

No matter what you order, the café’s signature hot sauce is sure to be a great complement. The famous homemade hot sauce is another big hit with diners.
