Brussel's Bonsai: The Country's Largest Bonsai Nursery Is In Mississippi

Mississippi is home to a variety of unique sites and attractions – and Brussel’s Bonsai Nursery is one of them. At nearly 200,000 square feet, it’s the biggest bonsai nursery in the entire country! It’s truly a sight to see. Luckily, you can tour the nursery for free. And after taking in the rows and rows of bonsais, you can visit the on-site shop, so you can buy a starter kit and grow your own.

Located in Olive Branch, Brussel’s Bonsai first opened in 1975. In 2005, it moved to its present location - a 175,000-square-foot facility.

Pretty impressive, it’s the largest nursery in the United States that’s devoted entirely to bonsai trees.

In addition to several greenhouses, the nursery includes a welcome center and shop, where you can purchase bonsai starter kits.

For already-planted bonsai trees, you’ll have to head into the greenhouses, which are brimming with all sorts of bonsais.

The impressive collection includes a variety of both indoor and outdoor bonsai trees.

Some of the bonsai trees are well over $1,000! But don't worry...

...there are plenty of affordable options as well.

The nursery also includes a showroom, where you’ll find some of the most "unique and breathtaking" bonsais in the world. Even more impressive are the age of the trees - some are hundreds of years old!

Brussel’s Bonsai is a great visit year-round, but it gets even better during Memorial Day weekend when the nursery hosts its Rendezvous event.
