There are a lot of things to love about Ocean Springs – and The Candy Cottage is one of them.
Churning out "southern confections cooked to perfection," The Candy Cottage is an old-fashioned candy store that specializes in pralines, fudge, and pecan logs.
Speaking of the pecan log, it’s the store’s signature item. The shop’s owner is a member of the Foote family, who created the tasty treat back in the 1930s.
There’s also a mouthwatering variety of handmade chocolates and homemade treats - all of which are made fresh year-round using only choice ingredients.
But the shelves are stocked with more than confections. Among the merchandise are a variety of regional concoctions, like cheese straws and mayhaw jelly.
In addition to being a great place to satisfy your craving for something sweet, The Candy Cottage is a great place to pick up a gift. The pre-packaged gifts are not only convenient, but sure to impress.
The Candy Cottage is open 7 days a week. Visit Monday – Thursday 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Friday – Saturday 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Sunday 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. For more information, call (228) 875-8268. You can also check out the shop’s website or Facebook page.
