Minnesota is home to many landmark restaurants that have stood the test of time. The state’s oldest restaurant – Hubbell House – predates the state, and many other iconic spots have popped up as well. From Mickey’s Diner to Matt’s Bar, the Land of 10,000 Lakes has plenty of great restaurants filled with local history. There’s one in particular that has been serving food since the 1930s. Every Minnesotan should add it to the top of their bucket list. Take a look:
Jax Cafe is a Minneapolis landmark located in the bustling Northeast neighborhood. You'll find it at 1928 University Ave. NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418.
The restaurant has been around since the 1930s, though the building itself is much older. It was started by Stanley Kozlak to house furniture, hardware, and funeral services.
