We’ve featured dozens of towns in the Old Line State worth exploring thus far, and now it’s time to highlight another charming spot. Named one of the best small towns to visit in America by Smithsonian Magazine, Havre de Grace is perfect for a day trip or weekend away.
Head downtown and explore the many shops, restaurants, and art galleries that line the streets.
Then stroll down to the waterfront and wander along the promenade.
The water views are serene...
Especially as the sun sets.
The Concord Point Lighthouse dates back to 1827 and is a popular spot among visitors and photographers.
Perhaps the quirkiest part of town is the Havre de Grace Decoy Museum.
It's filled with hundreds of hand-carved decoys and is quite the sight to behold.
Things get festive during the holiday season as an ice rink is installed, the town is adorned in lights...
And the annual Christmas parade commences.
Independence Day is also a promising time to visit as the fireworks are gorgeously reflected on the water.
With year-round town events, shops, eateries, and more, Havre de Grace is filled with things to do as long as you know where to look.
