Warm weather is here and you may already be thinking about summer days spent at the beach. There are several beaches in the Old Line State worth exploring, and today we’re featuring the ones that are little known but no less beautiful.
1. Terrapin Beach Park (Stevensville)
Other than a scenic beach, this park also includes trails that are perfect for cycling and an impressive view of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. This is a day trip worth taking.

2. Matoaka Beach (St. Leonard)

There's not many beaches quite as hidden as Matoaka Beach. Once you find this spot, be sure to fossil hunt along the white clay cliffs and spend a few hours sun bathing or kayaking.

3. Hart-Miller Island (Essex)
Hart-Miller Island is only reachable by boat, but the trip is worth it for the surrounding water views. Be sure to also check out the miles of hiking trails.

This sprawling park has a beach that visitors can only reach by kayak or canoe. Camp overnight here, as you'll need a few days to explore all 30 miles of water trails.
