He took those outdoor skills and put them to good use creating Maine Forest Yurts, a beautiful yurt campground where travelers can unwind amidst the Pine Tree State’s natural beauty.
Maine Forest Yurts sits on 100 acres at the edge of the pond. The area is teaming with wildlife and the pond offers access to water spots and swimming as well as stunning scenery.
The yurts are all furnished with wood fire stoves, so they can be used year-round. You'll also find bunk beds and a table and chairs in the round and welcoming home. Some of the larger yurts have a stove and cooking area inside as well.

In the winter, there's sledding, hiking, and snowball fights to be had. In the summer, scout for local fungi, kayak on the pond, and explore the expansive property.
