LSU and the many other illustrious universities and high schools around the state take pride in making sure every student receives a great education.

Jazz is a part of it---but there's a lot of other amazing music that comes from our state--cajun, zydeco, brass bands!

5. New Orleans is the only place to live in Louisiana.

There is so much more to Louisiana than just New Orleans! In fact, a lot of people live in Louisiana and barely ever come into the city!

6. To blend in, wear Mardi Gras beads all year long.

Actually, that's the fastest way to spot a tourist from a mile away.

7. There’s not much natural beauty in the swamps.

This one is just silly.

8. When you live in Louisiana, you eat crawfish 24/7.

There is a season for crawfish--buying them outside of season is just silly.

9. Everyone in Louisiana is just partying and drunk all the time.

Actually, we all have to work for a living. You just come here to play.

10. Everyone in Louisiana has such a strong accent you can’t understand them.
