The One Restaurant In Louisiana That May Just Have The Best Po’boys Ever

Olde Tyme Grocery in Lafayette, Louisiana, is renowned for its delicious po'boys and nostalgic atmosphere.

Many restaurants in Louisiana claim that they have the best po’boy around, but we believe we’ve found the one. This locally run restaurant has been serving up delicious po’boys for more than 30 years, and they just keep getting better.

Olde Tyme Grocery has been a favorite among the Lafayette community for decades.

Owner Glenn Murphree purchased the grocery store in 1982. He loved po’boys and knew he wanted to sell them, so he began making the best po’boys he could. When he first opened the business, he was the only employee.

When you walk in, you’ll feel a wave of nostalgia wash over you.

The rustic interior adds an eclectic charm you just won't find anywhere else. You’ll instantly feel like you’re part of the family in this unique atmosphere.

Their menu is pretty simple, but that’s what makes this place great.

You don’t need endless options. They’ve mastered the po’boy, and they’re sticking to it.

They have several different po’boys to choose from.

Ham, roast beef, pastrami, turkey, sausage, shrimp or oyster, just to name a few.

You can count on these overstuffed po'boys to fill you up.

They also feature daily specials like soft shell crab po'boys and pot roast po'boys.

You can find Olde Tyme Grocery at 218 W Saint Mary Blvd, Lafayette, Louisiana 70506.

Give them a try. You won't regret it!
