Rosedale in New Orleans offers some of the best turtle soup and a unique dining experience in a historic building.
Turtle soup lovers, this one's for you. This restaurant may not look like much from the outside, but don't let looks deceive you. Inside, you'll find some of the most mouthwatering meals in the city, and perhaps some of the best turtle soup in the world.
You’ll find Rosedale nestled in Navarre Neighborhood of New Orleans, which is between Lakeview and Mid-City.
The restaurant has been open since 2016, but the building itself has a much deeper history. The building actually used to be the Third District Police Station that served Gentilly, Lakeview, and the West End for over 50 years. It originally had five holding cells, which you’ll still be able to see in the restrooms and the office.
Whether you choose to sit outside or dine indoors, you’re sure to have a memorable meal at this hidden gem.
While the weather is tolerable, take advantage of their beautiful outdoor patio.
The menu features an incredibly unique mix of flavors you won’t find anywhere else.
Seamlessly blending multiple cultures and flavors, you’ll find yourself coming back here again and again as you work you way through the menu. From the smoked tuna muffuletta to the Korean Short Ribs, there’s something for everyone on the menu at Rosedale.

Rosedale is open Wednesday-Sunday for lunch and dinner.
