From Napoleon to Felicity Street, Magazine Street is peppered with countless restaurants, boutiques, antique shops, and more. Today we are going to focus on the restaurants, which covers everything from tacos to falafels and everything in between, there’s truly something for everyone on this 6-mile stretch.
We’ll start down by Napoleon and Magazine and work our way through the Irish Channel and ending in the Lower Garden District.

For oyster lovers, there’s no better spot. This cash-only joint has been serving fresh oysters and other seafood specialties for a hundred years and they’re certainly worth a visit. Not much has changed since they opened in 1919 and that’s one of the reasons generations of New Orleanians have continued to come back year after year. They do close for the summer, so you’ll have to wait until September 12th when they reopen to visit. Trust us, the wait is worth it.
