Mother’s Restaurant in New Orleans is back, serving its famous comfort food for takeout, including gumbo, jambalaya, and the Ferdi Special po’boy.

We could all use a little comfort food right now. Luckily, one of New Orleans’ most beloved restaurants is back and ready to serve up some of the most incredible comfort food in New Orleans.

Mother’s has been a culinary landmark for the Crescent City since they opened in 1938.

There’s usually a line around the block to get into this timeless treasure, and for good reason.

Mother’s is known for cooking up some of the best comfort food in the city, and they’re back to serving up that same food you’ve grown up with.

They’re currently serving a “limited menu” available for takeout, but even their limited menu has all of the delicious comfort food you need to get satisfy your soul.

All of your favorites are on the menu, like their famous gumbo and jambalaya.

And several fried seafood platters. No matter what you're in the mood for, you'll find it here at Mother's.

And of course, The Ferdi Special. This monster po’boy is jam packed with their famous ham, roast beef, and their delicious debris with au jus gravy. You’ll need a stack of napkins to get through this bad boy!

They’re also serving brunch all day. So even if you sleep in, you can still feast on their delicious brunch items like grits with debris. Yum!
