La Provence is a special restaurant that takes the farm to table trend to a whole other level.

It can be found at 25020 US 190 in Lacombe, LA--and reservations are recommended!

This restaurant is part of the John Besh family of restaurants, but it's unique because it is found on a farm.

A lot of the dishes here are made with ingredients that are grown right on the site of the restaurant.

There are a number of things grown and raised here, including pigs and honeybees.

There are also hens on the property that supply the eggs to the restaurant as well as a variety of herbs.

The meals here are upscale and creative while still being accessible.

It's a great combination that makes for a really memorable meal. You'll love the puppy drum with baby bok choi and creamed leeks, pictured here.

The chefs here always find a way to incorporate fresh vegetables into their dishes.

And they always cook fish to perfection--the swordfish, pictured here, is amazing.

And this rabbit dish is truly something special.

Rabbit and dumplings is one of my favorite things of all time!
